I don’t have much time to write… P-day fell on a federal holiday again and the Library was closed, so we had to postpone emailing for the next day. I’ll have to keep things pretty short this week.
The weather here is still fantastic. We haven’t had the opportunity of shoveling snow out of any church parking lots. (sorry Elder Hart!) It still smells like horses though.
The work’s moving along well. We have some awesome people that we have the opportunity of sharing this message with that have been progressing SO MUCH. There’s a family that we’ve been seeing for a while. We started off just teaching the mom, Katia, but one by one we’ve involved her husband Santiago and their daughters Kylie and Kassandra. They’re SO GREAT! They all came to church this week and stayed for all of the classes. Kylie and Kassandra loved Sunday school and got to meet some of the other youth in the ward. Katia and Santiago seemed to really like the classes too- Katia made lots of comments and participated a lot. Then on Monday we went over and taught the girls about the Plan of Salvation, and how they can be together with their entire family for all of eternity because God loves them SO MUCH. It was especially powerful because when they were little, the family got in a car accident and Kylie’s twin passed away. The Spirit was so strong as we testified to them that they could see her again. It was a very sweet experience.
I’m so grateful for this opportunity I have to share this wonderful message with people. I know that the blessings of peace and happiness that come from living this gospel are absolutely real. God truly is aware of each and every one of us and He loves us more than we could possibly imagine. He desires nothing for us but our happiness. Everything about the gospel and the plan that He’s set out for us is based around this- that He wants us to be happy. I know that the happiness that counts, that fills you up until it overflows and it just radiates out of you, comes only from living the way that He’s told us. And that’s WHY He told us to live that way- because His greatest desire is that we can be filled with that happiness and love and peace ALWAYS. I’ve been so blessed in getting this chance to be a missionary and share this with others and to come to know and understand better this beautiful plan.
I love you all!
Fotos- the sisters had a zumba activity on Monday- it was SO fun. And hilarious. These hips don’t lie. 2 Nephi 9:34.
